Unc0ver v3.0.0 beta 46 released with significant improvements to iOS 12 stability and more

On Wednesday, hacker and unc0ver lead developer Pwn20wnd pushed a new revision to the unc0ver v3.0.0 pre-release, bringing it up to beta version 46.

Pwn20wnd shared news of the update via Twitter, adding that the update would fix significant instabilities on iOS 12 and make the system run noticeably faster:

Citing the official changelog on Pwn20wnd GitHub repository,
unc0ver v3.0.0 beta 46 incorporates the following changes:

03/13/2019 – v3.0.0~b46 was released for public testing with the following changes:

– Improve assertion

– Prevent device from sleeping while app is active

– Internally disable the “Disable App Revokes” switch and revert its changes if it was used before to prevent major instability issues that caused issues with loading tweaks on iOS 12 (See https://twitter.com/Pwn20wnd/status/1105856578979168256)

– Update the APT lists cache file for repositories

Those already jailbroken
on iOS 12 with the unc0ver v3.0.0 pre-release are advised to download and run
this update as soon as possible to take full advantage of the new features and
improvements.

It’s
worth noting that the unc0ver v3.0.0 pre-release is still a beta, and while it
might be tempting to hop onboard right now, we’d strongly advise waiting for
the official public release to prevent any possible bugs from manifesting.

These
‘partial’ support is only intended for developers to allow them to prepare
tweaks to support iOS 12. Users will get the most benefit from their jailbreak
when Cydia and Cydia Substrate are added in the future.

The latest public release of the unc0ver jailbreak tool is
v2.2.6 with support for iOS 11.0-11.4 beta 4 – the unc0ver v3.0.0 pre-release
is the only iteration that supports iOS 11.4-11.4.1. Both versions of the
unc0ver jailbreak tool can be had from Pwn20wnd’s official GitHub repository.

jailbreak for you? Let us know in the comments section below!
