I’m a firm believer that the iPhone needs a native audio visualizer, and that’s mainly why I’m such a massive fan of a popular jailbreak tweak called Mitsuha Infinity that we showed you just last month.
Mitsuha Infinity enabled the audio visualizer in the Now Playing app and on the Lock screen, but with a new add-on called Mitsuha Infinity – Home Screen by iOS developer Nepeta, you can now enjoy the same effect on your Home screen.
As you’ll notice in the screenshot example above, Mitsuha Infinity – Home Screen displays the audio visualizer just above the Dock. You’ll notice that it hovers over the wallpaper image, and because it’s slightly transparent, you can see the wallpaper image behind it. Application icons, on the other hand, appear on top of the audio visualizer.
Mitsuha Infinity – Home Screen adds a new pane of options to the primary Mitsuha Infinity preference pane, which you’ll find in the Settings app after installation:
Here, you can:
- Toggle Mitsuha Infinity – Home Screen on or off on demand
- Enable FFT (frequency instead of amplitude)
- Automatically hide the audio visualizer when it’s not in use
- Choose between wave, bar, and line-style audio visualizers
- Configure a custom bar spacing
- Configure a custom bar corner radius
- Configure a custom line thickness
- Choose between dynamic new, dynamic old, or custom color schemes
- Configure a custom dynamic color alpha level
- Configure a custom wave color
- Configure a top wave offset
- Configure visualizer speed and frames per second
- Configure custom sensitivity
- Disable battery saver
From the primary Mitsuha Infinity preference pane, you can respring your handset to save any changes you make; this is necessary, otherwise, your options won’t be appended.
If you’re interested in trying Mitsuhua Infinity – Home Screen, then you can download it for free from the Nepeta repository in Cydia or Sileo. It’s worth noting that the tweak works on all jailbroken iOS 11 and 12 devices and that it requires the based tweak (Mitsuha Infinity) to be used.
