Sileo Demo updated to v1.2.0 with rewritten repository manager

Sileo is the exclusive package manager for handsets that have been pwned with the Electra Team’s Chimera or Electra jailbreaks, but non-jailbroken devices can deploy a special build of Sileo for testing and repository-browsing purposes.

On Friday, the Sileo Team issued a revised iteration of the Sileo Demo for non-jailbroken devices, bringing it up to version 1.2.0:

As it would seem, Sileo Demo v1.2.0 incorporates a rewritten repository manager, likely built upon Swift, with improved performance and stability.

Sileo v1.2.0 isn’t yet available for jailbroken devices at the time of this writing, but the Sileo Team is asking Sileo Demo users to test the new repository manager to ensure rock-solid stability before deploying it on jailbroken platforms. The Sileo Team also provided a link to their Discord where users can report any problems.

Like with previous Sileo Demo releases, v1.2.0 can be downloaded from the Sileo Team’s private repository. The .ipa file can then be side-loaded onto any iOS 11-13 device with Saurik’s handy-dandy Cydia Impactor tool.

It’s worth noting that the Sileo Demo can also be installed on devices that have been jailbroken with unc0ver, but it can’t be used to install or uninstall packages since it’s just a demo.

Have you tried the newest Sileo Demo yet? If so, how are you liking the rewritten repository manager? Let us know in the comments section below.
