Sharecuts makes it easier to share Shortcuts with other iPhone or iPad users

iPhone and iPad Shortcuts have becoming increasingly popular in recent years, especially since Apple began bundling its acquired Shortcuts app with the native operating systems on these devices. It’s possible to download or even share shortcuts with other people, but perhaps not as readily as some users would like, hence the release of a new and free jailbreak tweak called Sharecuts by iOS developer daniel.

This cleverly named tweak allows users to import and export .shortcut files from directly within the app using the native Share menu interface instead of uploading them to iCloud. The developer claims that the feature is actually built into iOS by default, but that Apple has disabled it by default. With that in mind, Sharecuts merely enables it for jailbreakers.

As depicted in the screenshot examples above, users can open a Share Sheet for any shortcut in the Shortcuts app and find an option dubbed Share as File. Upon tapping on this, users may share the .shortcuts file to nearby recipients or via email or another method if not in close proximity.

For those curious, here’s a video demonstration that has been graciously provided by the developer of the tweak:

Sharecuts will be a useful and indispensable tweak for anyone who uses a lot of shortcuts on their iPhone or iPad, especially if you plan to share your mods with other iPhone or iPad users. The tweak doesn’t come with any options to configure and is open source on the developer’s GitHub page for anyone who might be interested in learning more about how the tweak works under the hood.

Sharecuts is available as a free download from the Packix repository via any reputable package manager and supports jailbroken iOS 13 and 13 devices with the Shortcuts app installed on them.

Will you be taking advantage of Sharecuts to make sharing Shortcuts easier? Discuss down in the comments section below.
