It’s that time of the week again, and now that you can jailbreak iOS 12.4, we’ll be composing a roundup of all the latest jailbreak apps and tweaks for the convenience of those with jailbroken handsets who might be looking for new and exciting ways to trick them out.
In this roundup, we’ll be looking at all the jailbreak tweaks released from Monday, August 19th to Sunday, August 25th. As usual, we’ll kick things off by discussing our favorite releases first, and then wrap things up with an outline of the rest afterward.
Our favorite releases this week
PhoneCaller – $2.99
Your iPhone displays a phone number for incoming and outgoing phone calls, which in certain circumstances, can let you in on you might be trying to contact you or who you might be trying to contact. On the other hand, this information is somewhat bland.
PhoneCaller is a new jailbreak tweak that tries to change this by displaying detailed caller ID information every time you receive an incoming phone call or make an outgoing phone call. The tweak displays information such as profile pictures and first/last names, among other things.
You can learn more about PhoneCaller and how it augments the caller ID experience on the iOS platform in our full review.
SafePowerOff – FREE
When you have a semi-tethered jailbreak, such as Chimera or unc0ver, then you’ll want to be careful not to power down your device, as doing so would require you to re-jailbreak it.
SafePowerOff is a jailbreak tweak that prevents you from sliding the power off slider without first using a tap and hold gesture on the cancel button to ‘unlock’ it.
