Jailbreak tweaks of the week: Amēlija, Speedy, Substia, & more…

With Apple having just recently announced iOS & iPadOS 15, we can finally see what to expect from Apple’s upcoming iterations of its mobile operating systems.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, the jailbreak community is taking note. We’ve already shown you 15 things that iOS & iPadOS 15 ‘borrowed’ from the jailbreak scene, and it’s likely we’ll soon best witness to jailbreak tweaks that retroactively port features from the upcoming update to older jailbroken versions of iOS and iPadOS.

In the meantime, however, we’ll take this opportunity to compile everything jailbreak-related that we’ve shared this past week in one convenient and easy-to-digest piece. This roundup will encompass all the latest releases and jailbreak centric news spanning Monday, June 14 to Sunday, June 20th.

As usual, we’ll kick things off with a summary of our favorite releases first. Then we’ll outline everything else afterward. So without further ado, let’s get started:

Our favorite releases this week

Amēlija – FREE

Amēlija is a slick new jailbreak tweak that can be used to apply blur effects to the Home Screen and Lock Screen wallpaper.

Not only can this tweak help your eyes focus more on your Home Screen’s app icons as opposed to the image behind them, but it also helps make more photorealistic images look more acceptable alongside iOS’ flat app icons.

You can learn more about Amēlija and how it works in our full review.

Speedy – FREE

Speedy is a very handy jailbreak tweak that lets users quickly and efficiently delete more than one app at a time from the comfort of their Home Screen.

Batch uninstalling apps is highly sought after since it makes quick work of reclaiming used storage space and de-cluttering the Home Screen of unwanted apps.

You can learn more about Speedy and how you can use it in our full review.

Substia – FREE

It can be a real pain navigating the Settings app to get to iOS’ text replacement preference pane, and that’s why Substia is a must-have jailbreak tweak for frequent mobile typists.

This tweak effectively lets you highlight a word and create a text replacement shortcut right from the selected text menu without having to navigate the labyrinth we call the Settings app to do the same thing.

You can learn everything you need to know about Substia in our full review.
