Prerequisites
Before you begin, make sure you have the following:
- Make sure to Unlock Bootloader on Xiaomi Mi Play.
- Get the correct stock firmware ROM file for Xiaomi Mi Play device model. You can download it from Official MIUI website.
- Download Mi Flash Tool, to flash the stock firmware on your phone.
- Get 7-Zip software and install it on your Windows PC.
- A USB cable to connect your Xiaomi Mi Play to the computer.
- Ensure your phone has at least 60% battery charge.
- You need a PC /Laptop to flash ROM files on your Xiaomi Mi Play smartphone.

Steps to Install Stock Firmware on Xiaomi Mi Play?
Follow these simple steps to successfully flash the stock MIUI firmware on your Xiaomi Mi Play device:
- Right-click on the Fastboot ROM .tar firmware file you downloaded and select “Extract Files”.
- Choose 7-Zip if prompted and extract the .tar file.
- Next, turn off your Xiaomi Mi Play phone completely.
- Press and hold the Power Plus Volume Down button together until you see the fastboot logo. This will boot your Xiaomi Mi Play into Fastboot Mode.
