The XinaA15 jailbreak tool for A12-A15 chip-equipped devices running iOS or iPadOS 15.0-15.1.1 appeared to receive another update over the weekend.
The updated release, dubbed version 1.1.8.0, is a step up from version 1.1.7.2 that dropped almost two weeks ago, and was first mentioned by the @HUC_hbs Twitter account late Sunday evening.
Unfortunately, this release did not include a change log, so no one besides the creator of the jailbreak currently knows what this update brings to the table. A change log could come later, as it usually does.
The XinaA15 jailbreak is currently a developer-centric jailbreak, which means it isn’t recommended for ordinary end users. Reasons for this range from ease of use to compatibility with user-centric add-ons.
Still, plenty of users have moved forward with using XinaA15 anyways and are particularly happy to have a jailbreak again. Many jailbreak tweaks actually do work well with XinaA15, but some developers aren’t able to test tweak compatibility on it.
We generally recommend waiting until @xina520 personally announces the latest update before updating XinaA15 so that we can at least see a change log to know what’s happening in the latest update. But if you can’t wait, then you can use the link in @HUC_hbs’ Tweet.
