The XinaA15 developer-centric jailbreak tool for arm64e devices on iOS & iPadOS 15.0-15.1.1 received another public beta update Monday morning that brought the tool up to version 1.1.7.1.
The latest public beta release was announced via the XinaA15 Discord server and includes a link to a GitHub page by jacksight that better describes what’s new in the latest update.
The change log for version 1.1.7.1 cited the following changes:
- A new user interface
- A reduced chance of ‘pink screen restarts’ by preventing applications from loading automatically
- Adjusted the logout and soft restart mechanisms
If you’re an existing user of the XinaA15 jailbreak, then we would recommend updating to the latest version to ensure you’re taking advantage of the latest and greatest improvements.
As for people who aren’t using XinaA15 yet, we generally recommend waiting until some of the bugs are ironed out. XinaA15, although working, has developed a reputation for being less user friendly than traditional jailbreaks.
In the off-chance that something goes wrong and you aren’t sure how to fix it, we recommend waiting until the tool is out of public beta. That’s because the jailbreak is intended for developers at this time and should become more stable with time.
Currently, XinaA15 is the only jailbreak for iOS 15.0-15.1.1 on arm64e devices (iPhone XR and newer) besides Fugu15 and ra1ncloud. The primary difference, however, is that XinaA15 supports tweak injection, while the other jailbreaks mentioned do not.
The latest version of the XinaA15 jailbreak can be had from the link shared by the developer on Twitter.
