This jailbreak tweak enables Stage Manager on older iPads running iPadOS 16

Apple introduced a new feature called Stage Manager for select iPads starting in iPadOS 16 that would allow you to use an external display with your iPad in addition to being able to move and resize app windows to your liking.

Unfortunately, while even older iPads are capable of Stage Manager, Apple used software to limit the feature to newer devices — a tactic the company is well known for. But if you’re jailbroken, then you can use a new jailbreak tweak called EnableStageManager by iOS developer dora2ios to break free of that software limitation.

Citing the tweak’s depiction page, EnableStageManager supports turning on the Stage Manager feature on iPads with an A9-A10X chip inside. The tweak does not work with any iPads with an A12 or newer chip inside, nor does it work with any iPhone or iPod touch.

Due to Stage Manager requiring iPadOS 16, this means that the iPad you install EnableStageManager on must be running that version of the iPadOS firmware. The supported devices that mentioned above are all jailbreakable by way of the checkm8-based palera1n-c jailbreak.

If you’re interested in giving the new EnableStageManager jailbreak tweak a try, then you can purchase it from the Havoc repository via your favorite package manager app for $0.99.

Are you planning to use Stage Manager on your older iPad? Let us know why or why not in the comments section down below.
