The RootHide development team on Monday released version 1.1 of the public release of its Procursus-based bootstrap.
The team used its presence on X (formerly Twitter), as well as its Discord server to announce the latest update, noting that it introduces the following changes when compared with the previous version:
– Fix the notification issue for some apps
– Fix the issue that the app plug-in cannot be loaded
– Optimize localization, thank the developers who contributed
The update comes just under a week after the RootHide development team released version 1.0 of its bootstrap, which officially brought the project out of beta and introduced a new user interface.
The version 1.1 update isn’t a major one, but does include important bug fixes, which should be a reminder to all that even non-beta software can have bugs that often need to be patched.
If you were already using the RootHide bootstrap, then you can download the latest .tipa file from the project’s GitHub page and perma-sign it on your device with TrollStore. New or prospective users can do the same and should start with the latest release.
The RootHide bootstrap allows a user to inject tweaks into apps on their device. When paired with a “semi-jailbreak” such as Serotonin, the tweak injection can be expanded to support the entire system.
At this time, the project supports all the same firmware that TrollStore does because it depends on the same CoreTrust bug to work. That said, the RootHide bootstrap works on iOS & iPadOS 14, 15, 16, and 17.0 devices.
