Popular Atria Home Screen layout customizing tweak adds rootless jailbreak support, long list of improvements

Many of you who’ve been jailbreaking your iPhones for several years will remember the Atria Home Screen layout editing jailbreak tweak by iOS developer ren7995 that we showed you in 2022.

Not only did Atria offer tons of options for customizing the Home Screen’s layout to your satisfaction right from the Home Screen interface itself, but it also provided a myriad of options for end users to configure.

Just this week, Atria received a major update to version 1.4.0 that added not only support for rootless iOS 15 and 16 jailbreaks such as Dopamine and palera1n, but also a slew of other changes.

The full change log for Atria version 1.4.0 per the change log posted to the package depiction page cites the following changes:

– Added full iOS 16 support
– Added official rootless support
– Improvements to iPad support, including proper layout in landscape orientation (please contact me if something isn’t working as intended on iPads)
– Added Dynamic Widget Sizing options to preferences, which automatically resizes widgets for an optimal experience
– Added option to show page labels on every page (also configurable per-page)
– Added option to display a drop shadow behind page labels
– Added option to force enable floating dock
– Added dock configuration support for iPads/floating dock
– Added options for enabling/disabling recents and app library icon for iPads/floating dock
– Added option to disable Home Screen today view
– Revamped and cleaned up preference
– Editor visual adjustments
– Floating dock (both on iPads and with the tweak) should now hide when typing values in the editor
– Fixed editor going behind the keyboard when typing values
– Fixed certain preference values not updating and requiring a respring when changed
– Fixed issues that made widgets unable to be placed in certain spots when the number of rows was changed
– Fixed issues that made widgets place incorrectly or be unable to be placed in certain spots horizontally
– Fixed numerous other compatibility issues with widgets
– Fixed an issue that caused page labels to be improperly positioned when reordering pages
– Fixed optimization issues with page labels
– Fixed a crash that would occur when reordering pages
– Fixed a crash due to a compatibility issue with Zenith
– Fixed background blur or page label not appearing when creating a new page
– Improved performance and appearance of icon drop shadow option
– Other unlisted QOL changes

If you’re an existing Atria user, then the latest update is recommended for everyone. Since the tweak is free to download, even people who haven’t used Atria before are welcome to give it a shot without wagering any money.

Atria can be acquired for free from the Chariz repository via your favorite package manager app and supports all jailbroken devices running iOS or iPadOS 13, 14, 15, and 16.
