In addition to updating the iOS 12-centric Chimera jailbreak tool to its final end of life (EOL) update with support for iOS 12.5.7, the Odyssey Team pushed a similar EOL update for the iOS & iPadOS 13-centric Odyssey jailbreak tool with other changes late Monday night, bringing it up to version 1.4.3.
While the Chimera update added support for newer firmware, that isn’t the case with the newest Odyssey update. Instead, Odyssey v1.4.3 bundles in an updated version of the Sileo package manager, which has received a slew of new updates since the last time Odyssey received a formal update.
The news of the latest Chimera and Odyssey jailbreak tool updates came at the same time that former Odyssey Team member and lead developer CoolStar formally announced her departure from the jailbreak community, something that many of us already knew for a while now.
Since this update to Odyssey merely bundles a newer version of Sileo, there’s no real reason for existing users to update the tool. Instead, they can merely ensure they’re running the latest version of Sileo on their existing jailbroken device. New users should, of course, use the latest version, which can be had from the following website:
