The Misaka package manager app for the MacDirtyCow exploit for iOS & iPadOS 15.0-16.1.2 and the kfd exploit for iOS & iPadOS 16.6 beta 1 and lower received another update on Wednesday, officially bringing the app up to version 2.0.2.
Citing the announcement shared Wednesday afternoon via the official Discord server, Misaka version 2.0.2 brings the following changes and improvements to the package manager:
a. Fixed for iPhone 13 mini and 13 Pro Max crash on 16.6b1
b. Added support for:
– iPad mini 6th Gen (WiFi+Cellular)
– iPad Air 4th Gen (WiFi+Cellular)
– iPad Pro 11 inch 5th Gen
– iPad Pro 12.9 inch 5th Gen
– iPad Air 5th Gen (WiFi+Cellular)
– iPad 10th Gen
– iPad Pro 11 inch 4th Gen
– iPad Pro 12.9 inch 6th Genc. Force update from this version is now has 2 options:
– No (continue using until we’re forcing for big update)
– Yes (go to Misaka Discord)
As it would appear, the latest update further optimizes the app for the kfd exploit on more devices and addresses a crash in addition to two new updating options from within the app.

With Misaka, you can download and install add-ons that take advantage of either the MacDirtyCow or kfd exploit to modify the system outside of stock parameters. Many of those add-ons would ordinarily require jailbreaking, which is what makes them so special. Because no jailbreak is required to use Misaka, it works even on the latest devices with some of the latest firmware available.
