The Misaka package manager for users of the MacDirtyCow and kfd exploits for iOS & iPadOS 15.0-16.1.2 and 16.0-16.6 beta 1 respectively has received an update early Monday morning that brings the project up to version 2.1.1 beta.
The announcement was first shared via the Misaka Discord server, along with a detailed change log that denotes everything new in the latest beta build. The full list of changes is as follows:
– New Icons
– Full Backup & Restore (unstable)
– Documentation for developers
– Advanced Settings real-time editing for developers (iPad only)
– File Manager Shortcuts
– File Rename
– File Editor
– Search Screen
– Springboard Lang Bug
– UI Fix
– Improved stability
For the most part, there aren’t any major new features in this update. The changes will, however, improve the user experience by adding small features and fixing bugs.
The Misaka package manager lets users install and activate add-ons that utilize the MacDirtyCow and kfd exploits to change the user experience of their device. The experience is a lot like installing and using jailbreak tweaks, minus the jailbreak.
If you’re and existing Misaka package manager user, then you’ll be prompted to update to the latest version the next time you launch the app. Prospective users can follow our step-by-step walkthrough to get started with using Misaka for the first time.
