There’s been a lot of exciting stuff happening in the jailbreak and iPhone hacking community as of late, but if you lead a busy life, then it can be easy to miss something important.
That’s the primary reason why iDB takes the time to curate a weekly roundup of the latest jailbreak news every Sunday. If you think you might’ve missed an important news tidbit or jailbreak tweak release, then rest assured because we’re here to make sure you catch wind of it before it’s too late.
In this roundup, we’ll discuss the latest jailbreak news and releases spanning the week of Monday, March 27th to Sunday, April 2nd.
Important stuff from this week
Fugu15 Max public beta 1 released
Shortly after a developer-only beta of the Fugu15 Max jailbreak for arm64e devices running iOS 15.0-15.4.1 by opa334 had been made available to developers, it was leaked, prompting the developer to publish a public beta.
The public beta offers tweak injection and fixes the Wi-Fi bug in the original Fugu15 jailbreak, but very few jailbreak tweaks actually support rootless at this time, so it’s only really recommended for developers at this time.
You can learn more about the Fugu15 Max public beta in our full news post.
Fugu15 Max developer beta
TrollStore developer @opa334 shared that the Fugu15 Max jailbreak was making strides in progress after a semi-private build with tweak injection and the Wi-Fi bug fixed could be requested by developers to update their jailbreak tweaks for the rootless dynamic.
Fugu15 Max is a derivative of the original Fugu15 jailbreak by Linus Henze, however with some of the major caveats fixed. While it’s a long way from being completed for the general public, a release isn’t out of the question. Fugu15 supports arm64e devices (A12+) running iOS & iPadOS 15.0-15.4.1.

iOS & iPadOS 16.4 released
Apple on Monday released iOS & iPadOS 16.4 with new Emojis, voice isolation for calls, enhancements to the Podcasts app, new actions in Shortcuts, 5G standalone support, and more.
This release isn’t currently jailbreakable, but the palera1n team is working to make palera1n-c compatible with it on A9-A11 chip-equipped handsets ASAP.
You can learn more about what’s new in iOS & iPadOS 16.4 in our full news post.
palera1n team welcomes dora2ios
The palera1n team welcomed new member dora2ios on Wednesday, and shortly after, teased preliminary support for the newly released iOS & iPadOS 16.4 firmware, albeit only in rootless mode.
While the palera1n-c jailbreak tool wasn’t updated at the time of the announcement, it was clear that a future update would add support for iOS & iPadOS 16.4 in the near future.
You can find out more about the announcements in our full news post.
