Just yesterday, we reported on the release of nekoJB, a kfd exploit-based semi-untethered jailbreak tool for older arm64 devices (iPhone 6s-iPhone X) running iOS & iPadOS 15.0-15.7.6.
Available as an alternative to palera1n for a smaller subset of firmware versions on these devices, nekoJB was an anticipated product. Sadly, it was pulled this morning by the developer, albeit temporarily.
In a post shared to X (formerly Twitter) early Thursday morning, project lead developer HAHALOSAH shared that they had decided to pull nekoJB public beta 1 because it contained files that the developer didn’t have permission to share.
Fortunately, the developer is now working on public beta 2, which will address these concerns. Those files were purportedly unused by the jailbreak process, so removing them shouldn’t be a problem.
While there is no ETA apart from “soon,” the developer says that public beta 2 fix some of the preliminary issues that early users were experiencing in addition to removing those files.
