Christmassy can add a Christmas-themed icon to the Status Bar of jailbroken iPhones

iOS developer ElioFegh is out this weekend with a new jailbreak tweak called Christmassy that will help put you in the Christmas spirit this year.

This very simple jailbreak tweak simply puts a Christmas-inspired icon of your choice in the Status Bar to the right of the time indicator.

As you’ll see in the screenshot examples above, Christmassy adds a preference pane to the Settings app where users can choose the icon that appears in the Status Bar and toggle the tweak on or off on demand.

At the time of this writing, Christmassy appears to support the following icon choices in the Status Bar:

  • Santa
  • Candy
  • Hat
  • Ball
  • Tree
  • Wreath
  • Gingerbread
  • Tree with presents
  • Snowflake

The developer appears to be working on an option that will randomize the icons and switch them up every couple of minutes, which is pretty neat for anyone who gets bored of seeing the same thing all the time.

Of course, if you think Christmassy is too simple of a tweak, then you can always think of it as just one ingredient in the arsenal of jailbreak tweaks you could employ for the task of getting into the holiday spirit. For example, I recommend pairing it with Snoverlay 2, a jailbreak tweak that adds an animated snowflake overlay to the display, no matter where you are in the operating system.

If you’re interested in giving Christmassy a try, then you can download it for free from ElioFegh’s personal repository via your favorite package manager app. The tweak supports jailbroken iOS 12, 13, 14, and 15 devices.

For those not already using ElioFegh’s personal repository, the URL is as follows:
