Not content with just being one of the top Android flagships, the OnePlus 12 also offers great value considering its powerful hardware and reasonable price. Of course, it’s still not cheap, and deserves protection from drops, nicks, and scrapes — especially when it comes to the bright, bold, high-resolution display.
Fortunately, the OnePlus 12 is already outfitted with a screen protector upon arrival. But it’s an engineered PET (hard plastic) film, many people prefer the feel of TPU or glass, and some users want additional features like glare resistance.
The rub here is that its curved display edges make DIY screen protector installation about as difficult as any phone today, which could be why the manufacturer put one on in the first place. As a result, there aren’t many aftermarket options to choose from. But if you want consistent construction and quality materials, and are willing to pay close attention while installing it, these are the ones to consider.

Don’t forget the OnePlus 12’s pre-applied plastic film
It’s not a bad accessory, and we’re glad OnePlus 12 included it, but it picks up permanent scratches easier than either alternative material and doesn’t feel quite as nice to everybody. And while there’s no way to be sure, it’s likely at least some of the poor reviews found on aftermarket OnePlus 12 screen protectors resulted from people forgetting or not even realizing there was already a screen cover on the thing.
So if you just don’t like the way your finger slides across the screen, or if it’s picked up too many unsightly marks from being in your pocket with a set of keys, there’s nothing wrong with replacing it with something a little nicer.

Due partly to the curved screen and the difficulty glass protectors have with sticking to it consistently, there aren’t many options, and most are soft-touch TPU.
